I offer repair and restoration for cassette players. Most of my repairs have been Sony Walkman but I have also done other brands. Below you can find my portfolio of repaired cassette players.

Note: Most of these cassette players were already sold. Check my eBay shop for current inventory. 

I'm currently only taking repairs within the United States.

• Diagnostic fee: $30 
  • This covers inspection and estimate. If you decide to move forward with the repair this gets applied to the total.

• Standard service: $80-$160+
  • Replace belt
  • Restore idlers tire
  • Restore pinch roller
  • Clean and demagnetize cassette head
  • Clean switches and volume knob
  • Clean leaf contacts
  • Clean battery contacts
  • Speed adjust
  • Basic cosmetic cleaning

• Add ons:
  • Old belt cleanup +$8
    • This is applied when the old belt has melted
  • Deep clean and relube +$40
    • Remove gears and washers
    • Deep clean gears and washer
    • Reassemble with fresh lubricant
  • Electrical issue: $18/ hour (minimum 30 min)
    • Electrical issues can range from simple fixes to several hours
    • When performing the Diagnostic I can provide a time estimate

• Parts: 
  • Minimum mark up to cover shipping and handling
  • Belts range between $10-$18 and take 5-7 business days to deliver

• Return shipping: Billed at cost

• Basic players (entry-level 80s–90s models): $80–$100
• Mid-tier players (metal body, more complex mechanisms): $100–$120
• Complex models (advanced features, rare): $120–$160+

Start by filling out the repair request form. I will review the details and email you to confirm whether I can take on the repair. At this stage I will give you an estimate based on the symptoms you described. This is not a final invoice.

If you approve, I will send a PayPal invoice for the diagnostic fee and provide you my office address. You will be responsible for shipping the Walkman. Once I have it in hand, I will fully diagnose the issue and confirm the final price before doing any repairs.

After the work is complete, I will send photos or videos showing your Walkman running smoothly. You can then pay the repair balance along with return shipping and I will send it back to you.
